January 30th
At Grove ferry this morning were 4 Bewick swans, 3 adult and 1 juvenile along with approx 30 Lapwing. More improvements to the reserve taking place at Harrisons hide where the narrow channel is being widened. There was 1 Little egret feeding near the digger. At Feast hide there were 21 Gadwall, on the new island were 5 Teal, 2 Mallard and 2 Mute swans. Not much else about it being fairly quiet.
