It would appear that the KOS have lost all sightings post from February up to present day and, they are nowhere to be found within the KOS website.
Sightings will now be posted here and will be up and running properly from January 1st.

December 31st


Final day of the year with an amble around Stodmarsh in very grey overcast conditions. The Tawny Owl was distant this morning, not near the car parks as usual, a Snipe called overhead in the darkness and Wigeon could be heard as they passed over in the dark, 2 Wigeon were on the lake later on. The first Harrier up today was later than usual with a Marsh Harrier at 07:32 followed by another nine, and the first Hen Harrier was a ringtail at 07:41 then another at 07:58. A Barn Owl flew north over the reeds, 700+ Fieldfare left the reeds and surrounding trees and bushes, 9 Great Black-backed and 2 Common Gulls were on the lake and 1100+ Cormorants left roost. There was also a Cormorant on the lake with a badly broken wing sticking up from its back. On the lake were 201 Mallards, 20 Gadwall, 2 Pochards, 2 Great-crested Grebes, 14 Shoveler, 1 Tufted Duck, 1 duck Pintail and 784 Teal. A Kingfisher flew by while Redwing, Song Thrush, Blackbird and Song Thrush were seen as well as 1 Firecrest, 1 Common Buzzard and a single Yellowhammer.
