Two Woodcock came out of the reed bed behind Tower hide heading off to their daytime roost, 11 Marsh Harriers left their roost and a male Hen Harrier appeared from the north again at 0742. A Little Egret passed over the reserve and out towards Chislet, 2 Kestrel were hovering in the distance and while counting ducks in Tower hide the 2 ringtail Hen Harriers passed through towards Collard's. On the lake were 6 Pochards, 3 Tufted Ducks, 32 Shoveler, 5 Gadwall, 800+ Teal, 1 Little Grebe and 5 Great-crested Grebes. A Kingfisher and a Sparrowhawk flew low over the lake with a large female Sparrowhawk chasing Fieldfare along the boundary road later on.
