The Species list stands at 161 so far for 2016

It would appear that the KOS have lost all sightings post from February up to present day and, they are nowhere to be found within the KOS website.
Sightings will now be posted here and will be up and running properly from January 1st.

December 23rd

A short visit to Stodmarsh today with Snipe, Grey Heron, Water Rail, Greylag Geese, Fieldfare and Cetti's Warbler all calling in the dark before Dawn. No sound of any Tawny Owls this morning but a Barn Owl was hunting the reeds behind Marsh hide. The 2 ringtail Hen Harriers left at 0729 and the male Hen Harrier left at 0744. There were 14 Marsh Harriers out of roost and Ducks on the lake included 8 Pochards, 2 Tufted Ducks, 27 Shoveler, 746 Teal and 18 Gadwall plus 3 Great-crested Grebes and 2 Little Grebes. The 1100 odd Cormorants left on-masse, 53 Lapwings flew over the lake and the adult female Cinnamon Teal was again in the Alder Wood moat. Nearby but, out of the valley recording area the Long-tailed Duck was still on Seaton lakes north pit associating with 12 Tufted Ducks.
