2 juvenile, 1 adult Male and 1 adult female Marsh Harrier over Grove and Stodmarsh. 1 Pochard on the Grove lake. Looks like the Green Sandpipers have departed, but Common Sandpiper still at the Reed Hide. Increasing numbers of Herons , Little Egrets and Snipe on the marsh. Only one Hobby, with few Swallow, Sand Martin and House Martin. Lots of mixed Tit and Warbler flocks moving through the Alder woods at the West of the reserve. There is an increased number of Sparrowhawks which have been a infrequent sight over the summer. Lapwing flocks are reaching c. 100 birds the Greylags are now c.200. The Common Tern fledglings left last week, so we will have to wait till spring to see them again.
