July 25th

I did the circuit this morning ( on what looks like to be the hottest day of the year so far ) and there were 3 Green sandpiper's at the Reed bed hide and also 1 juvenile Lapwing, 1 Grey heron 1 Black headed gull and a few  Greylag, Mallard and Teal. The Common tern's are still busy feeding their young. Wasp's have built a nest on one of the bird boxes It was fairly quiet otherwise with a Chiffchaff calling and a few Reed and Sedge warblers seen .At Marsh hide were 4 juvenile Lapwing ( i saw them on the 16th July here ) Unusually i did not see one raptor today.
