A sunny morning at the reserve today so i went to the marsh hide from the Grove end. At the ramp were 4 Shelduck and 1 Kingfisher. Not much at Feast hide with the usual Teal and Mallard and 1 pair of Tufted duck and a pair of Gadwall. At marsh hide a pair of Coot's are nest building and a female Mallard look's like she is sitting on a nest but otherwise fairly quiet. Other bird's seen were 1 Kestrel, 1 Marsh harrier, 1 Common buzzard, 5 Cetti's warbler, 1 Great white egret, which i have seen every day this week, 1 Skylark, 1 male Stonechat and 5 Reed bunting. Yesterday 7th i had 2 Corn bunting and a pair of Bullfinch at the Stodmarsh end. On the 4th there were 7 Shelduck at the ramp and 1 Green sandpiper at Harrison's.
