Still pretty much the same birds around Grove Ferry and Stodmarsh and with the strong winds and rain, usually encountered at weekends, it can be pretty hard work. A single ringtail Hen Harrier still showing occasionally, the Great-white Egret shows most days and 8-10 Marsh Harriers leave roost early morning. The Barn Owl not seen this weekend. Saturday we spent another morning in the Trenleypark Wood complex where we had great views of a single Marsh Tit. We Also added Lesser and Mealy Redpoll to the year list plus a single male Siskin within the flock and Chiddy had seen the 2 Lesser-spotted Woodpeckers before our arrival, he also added Red-legged Partridge above Collard's. Only other additions to the year list were Skylark (at last) at Grove and a flyover Lesser Black-backed Gull also at Grove.
