The Stour Valley list for 2018 stands at 164(+1) species so far.
A brief visit to Grove ferry this morning and the digger is cleaning out the ditch along Harrison's drove where there was 3 Water pipit and 3 Pied wagtail. Not much else to report apart from 2 Stonechat and 2 Cetti's warbler. Dec 18th Stodmarsh A bit grey and windy this morning and with work still going on in the Alder wood not much there but else where there was 1 ring tail Hen harrier near marsh hide, also seen at the same time by John at the hide, 1 Little egret, 1 Tree creeper, 2 Marsh harrier, 2 Great black-back gull's, 1 Black tailed godwit and approx 100 Lapwing. A lot of Beaver activity with fresh tree's felled and roots gnawed in 3 separate locations on the reserve plus good prints and tail marks in the mud.
