The Species list stands at 161 so far for 2016

It would appear that the KOS have lost all sightings post from February up to present day and, they are nowhere to be found within the KOS website. Also gone is the species list for the year but, I do have a record of that of which I will post a link.
Sightings will now be posted here and will be up and running properly from January 1st.
If you would like to send any sightings to me for posting, you can at martynwilson@talktalk.net

Another early start with Dave Sutton, Bernie Weight and Sue Morton in hope of a good Harrier count. The first bird out was a ringtail Hen Harrier at 07.11 followed by 2 male Hen Harriers and 20 Marsh Harriers. While the ringtail was flying past a Barn Owl passed underneath it and a Tawny Owl called twice while waiting for the Harriers. Also this morning the 17 Tundra Bean Geese flew east along the north side of the lake and were later seen by Marc Heath at Nethergong. Making the note book today were 1 Little Egret, 2 Kestrels, 1 Sparrowhawk, 15 Tufted Ducks, 19 Mute Swans, 4 Pintail (1 drake), 6 Gadwall, 2 Great-crested and 2 Little Grebes and a drake Wigeon. A female Wigeon was on the Ramp pool at at Grove. At least 1000 Cormorants left their roost (easier to count from Grove!) and Teal numbered 1160. There was a Bittern seen in flight over the reedbed hide reeds, 11 Lapwings passed over the lake, 88 Shoveler were on the lake, a single Goldcrest was along the Lampen Wall and a Grey Heron was at the Ramp pool. At Collard's between 09.45 and 10.30 there were 6 Goldeneye (2 drakes) 236 Wigeon, 67 Tufted Duck, 87 Pochard, 113 Gadwall, 46 Shoveler, 17 Great-crested Grebes and 224 Coot. The 17 Tundra Bean Geese were on the lake as were the (295) Greylag Geese eventually flying to the adjacent field.
