The Stour Valley list for 2018 stands at 163(+1) species so far.

December 7th


At the ramp this morning were 2 Black tailed Godwit and approx 100 Teal. At the river end of Harrisons drove was a Ring tail Hen Harrier Over the metal bridge were 1 Common Buzzard, 1 Sparrow Hawk and 3 Marsh Harrier. At marsh hide over by the river was 1 Rough legged Buzzard, this bird has been seen during the last few days in this area, also seen were 2 Snipe and 1 Kingfisher. On the 3rd Dec near the metal bridge were approx 250 Fieldfare. At the Stodmarsh end were 2 Goldcrest's in the alder wood. Still no news on the cause of death of the Otter and Beaver found last month but  this photo of a willow tree " felled" during last Saturday night/Sunday morning shows at least one of the others is still ok.
