September 27th


Lovely weather at the reserve the last few days so here are some sighting's starting from today 27th Sept at Stodmarsh.. Duck number's are on the rise with 148 Shoveller on the main lake, with 250 + Teal. There were approx 25 House martin's by the river. Also seen were 4 Cetti's warbler, 1 Marsh harrier, 1 Kestrel and 1 Sparrow hawk. Unusual for this end of the reserve were 3 Stonechat's. 26th Sept Stodmarsh, 2 Speckled wood, 1 Large white, 1 Comma, 2 Peacock and 1 Red admiral  Also 2 Kestrel, 1 Marsh harrier and 1 Cetti's warbler. 25th Sept Stodmarsh, 280 Teal,119 Shoveller, 3 Snipe, 2 Grey heron, 2 Cetti's warbler, 1 Juvenile Marsh harrier, 9 Bearded tit and 1 Comma
