August 5th
With no new birds during the months of June and July the first new bird of August was the Spoonbills on the 2nd and on the 3rd Tony Swandale had a Pied Flycatcher near Stodmarsh car park. The later being an extremely rare bird in the valley with just 4 or 5 previous records.
