April 13th

Grove Ferry highlights today, 1 Black-winged Stilt from Marsh hide showing well at times, 1 female Ring Ouzel, 5 Redshank, 3 Marsh Harrier, 1 singing Yellowhammer, 1 Whimbrel east at 1.45pm over Ramp, 6 Canada Geese, c12 Sedge Warbler, 1 Bearded Tit, 1 Green Sandpiper, c40 Fieldfare, 1 Shelduck and 1 Pintail.

Good views of the Black winged Stilt at marsh hide this morning,also 4 Redshank with one pair mating.Other sighting's on the 10th with 2 female Blackcap, 2 Shelduck, 17 Snipe, 30 Teal, 4 Grey lag, 7 Gadwall and 1 Reed Warbler all at marsh hide. On the 12th there were 7 Swallow's perched on top of a Hawthorn tree near the river looking a tad exhausted.
