The Stour Valley list for 2018 stands at 96 species so far.

January 26th

A mixed morning weather wise with cloud and rain first thing turning to blue sky.The Great White Egret was at the ramp with 11 Blackheaded Gull,1 Grey Heron and a few Lapwing. At Feast hide it was the usual wildfowl, Tufted, Shoveller, Gadwall, Teal and Mallard. Near the metal bridge there was a ring tail Hen Harrier. At marsh hide were 21 Water Pipit, 17 Lapwing and 1 Stonechat. As i was heading back a flock of 173 Lapwing flew over heading Stodmarsh way. Also about 20 feet from a male Stonechat was another Stonechat but it has a lot of white on the chest and wing.
