March 24th

A strongish easterly wind at Stodmarsh yesterday and not a great deal about,a few Chiffchaff 's singing away along with the cettis warblers .I saw some fresh Otter print's in the mud along the recently cleared Lampen stream. There were 23 Shoveller's and 15 Great crested grebe on the lake with 2 Marsh Harrier overhead. Today 24th the wind not so strong and there was a nice male Pintail at the ramp along with 3 Shelduck,1 Grey heron and about 60 Teal. Not much at Feast hide but the rather ill looking Black headed gull seen on wed 22nd on the island is now dead. Also what look's like a dead male Teal in the water,i have reported both just in case. Just 2 displaying Lapwing at Harrisons.
