Back to Life, Back to Reality

After the rush of good birding last weekend, this weekend was a more like the usual pace with not a great deal to be seen other than the avifauna that is normally on show. The spotted Crake still viewable from the Ramp at distance plus another one showed up from the Harrison’s Drove hide and showed a lot closer than the Ramp bird but still too far off for a photograph, see the poor shots below. As not much birding was doable over the short weekend in between a week full of work, I’ve just included a few snaps from over the week. Also on my last post I captioned a Ruddy Darter as a Common Darter, big thanks to Marc Heath for pointing out the mistake.
