Purple Rain

Still not a great deal to write about although the Purple Heron was still present. Steve Ashton, Mark Chidwick and I saw it fly from the Oxbow at 6.15am but that was it, and no further sign until, at 10.20am it flew from the ‘White House’ pool and went back to the Oxbow where it showed on and off until at least midday when the rain forced us home (light Shower lol). Only other bits of note were a single Hobby, 6 Little Egrets, 2 Little-ringed Plovers and 5 Green Sandpipers. The juvenile Green Woodpecker was again playing hide and seek at its nest hole. A hobby and an adult Mediterranean Gull were at Restharrow Scape when i passed through Sandwich on the way home.
