I finished early again today as the weather
looked promising for migrants and having not quite made it to Grove yesterday
due to the handsome Little Bunting and arrived at the gate at 2.20pm. Highlight
of the visit was a really smart male Whinchat in fields behind Harrison’s Drove
hide. Not a lot else recorded due much
time spent watching the Whinchat but other birds noted were 8 Hobbies, 3 Turtle
Doves, 3 Marsh Harriers, 1 Cuckoo, 1 Wheatear and a Bittern booming.
